Listening to stations in VLC is probably the best because it's free, has clients for almost every architechture and OS, and there are no additional advertisements, but you can only listen to the stations that have hardcoded links in VLC.
The best place to listen to as many stations as possible is probably TuneIn because they have stations from IHeart, Audacy, and more, though sometimes you have to sit through an ad in the app before the station starts playing.
